Birding Venezuela is Venezuela’s premier bird tour company. Our approach is simple: we aim to offer the highest quality birding and nature tours in Venezuela at a reasonable price and plough part of our profits back into training and conservation work. This latter aspect is of fundamental importance to us. We have a strong conservation ethic and our conviction is that bird and nature tourism have a strong role to play in the formation of Venezuelan naturalists and in long-term survival of Venezuela’s wild places.

The overwhelming majority of our work is providing ground logistics for bird and nature tour operators in the USA, Canada, Europe and elsewhere. This includes designing itineraries, providing guides and making hotel and airline reservations – in short, organising in-country part of the tour. We typically provide all these services as a package. In that way, if something should fail – and in Venezuela, this can happen frequently – our staff will ensure that we find a solution as quickly as possible. We regularly serve some twenty major bird tour operators in this way.
Although we make no effort to promote ourselves amongst independent birders and naturalists, every year we are also asked to organise private tours for individuals, couples and groups. Increasingly, birding and natural history societies, such as Audubon chapters and birding clubs entrust us with the organisation of their trips. This is something we are very happy to do.
We are used to working with birders of all kinds, from the keenest world listers to the beginner and casual birder. We also run many natural general natural history tours as well as specialist botany, herpetology and entomological tours. In addition, we occasionally run trekking tours, for example in the Table Mountains.
